The SR 229 AM/MA chemical cartridge is used with Sundström Safety half masks, full face masks Air Purifying Respirators (APR) to provide protection from certain levels of Ammonia and Methylamine vapor. This chemical cartridge is approved for independent use or can be combined with the Sundström particulate filter SR 510, P100 in order to obtain protection against aerosols (particles), e.g during high pressure washing.
